What’s happening?
Microsoft is changing the amount of storage available to their educational customers, additional information can be found here: Microsoft 365 Storage Changes.
Regarding storage changes within OneDrive, Teams, and SharePoint, the following phase approach will be followed -

New OneDrives, Teams, and SharePoint sites created after December 10th will be provisioned with a 100 GB quota.

Existing OneDrives, Teams, and SharePoint sites that are under the new 100 GB quota (less than 80 GB), will have their quota set to 100 GB on January 21st.

Existing OneDrives, Teams, and SharePoint sites that are close to or over the new 100 GB quota, you will be excluded from the change on January 21st, and an additional communication will be sent to you later in the Spring semester regarding next steps.
What if I am already over the 100 GB quota?
If your OneDrive, Team, or SharePoint site is already over the 100 GB quota, you will be excluded from the change on January 21st, and an additional communication will be sent to you later in the Spring semester regarding next steps.
How will I get notified when my quota gets close?
When your OneDrive, Microsoft Team, or SharePoint site reaches 90% of its capacity (for example, when you reach 90 GB out of the default 100 GB), you will review the following automated email from Microsoft -
Will I be unable to save when I reach my quota?
Once you have reached your quota, your OneDrive, Microsoft Team, and/or SharePoint site will become read-only, and you will no longer be able to add or edit files until you delete unneeded items and empty the recycle bin. Please see the following Knowledge Base articles for additional information -
